What a cute little whimsical elephant brooch! I do believe he/she dates from the 1930's. Or possibly the 1950's. He or she would have been at home in either decade! It is stamped brass with green enamel on the feet and red on the tip of his(or her) trunk. There is a green rhinestone eye. There is a hole in the tip of the left arm that would indicate that there was some other feature dangleing from the arm at one time. It has alas, been lost over time. The locking mechanisim for the pin stem is lost as well. It works as a "C" clasp now, see back photo. But, even with the little flaws, it can still bring a smile to your face! It measures approx. 2 1/8"X1 1/2". The shipping fees quoted are for first class/No insurance in USA only.
