20th century British Scots Guards officer's gold and crimson dress waist state sash belt. Gold metallic bullion wire and crimson cotton woven with a finely striped pattern. Flattened bow type buckle section with two vertical hanging sections. The main part of belt backed with red morocco leather and with faded gold maker's name - can just read HOBSON &…. The belt is fastened with a flattened brass hook joining a brass staple at the other end. Rear fitted with two adjustment buckles to vary the size.
Maximum length including brass staple 96 cm (37.8 inches)
Height of the bow type buckle: 9 cm (3.54 inches).
Width of the belt: 6.8 cm (2.68 inches).
CONDITION: Showing age and usage, overall in good condition with minor wear, absent of ending cloth tassels.
