An English banjo barometer of typical form having a richly figured mahogany case with ebony and boxwood inlay to the perimeter. The hand carved swans neck finial pediment and brass finial are replacements. The piece has four dials including a level, barometer with two original hands, an alcohol thermometer and a hygrometer. To the center is a convex mirror with turned wood frame. (#1805)
