Barbedienne foundry bronze sculpture titled "Le Courage Militaire", after Paul Dubois (French, 1827-1905), a seated figure of a warrior with a winged griffin on his helmet, a lion's pelt tied over his shoulders and he holds a sword at his side; has an excellent dark brown patina. Signed "F. Barbedienne, Fondeur, Paris", has Barbedienne & A. Collas foundry seal and artist signature "P. Dubois. 34 in. high x 12 in. wide x 16 in. deep. Weight: 32 lbs.
