Army Into Hotels Article 1942 this is a September 21, 1942 article. It is a nice article with black and white pictures of the Air force taking over the Stevens Hotel in Chicago It was used as a school for the Air Force students to study radio. Built in 1927 at a cost of 27,000,000 it was one of the fast disappearing links, like ocean liners and the stock market, between Americas raucous 1920's and somber 1940s. Pictures MPs in the Crystal Ballroom. A really great picture of the Ballroom. In mint condition. Photo is taken through plastic and may show wrinkles or crookedness that is not in the article. This original magazine tear sheet measures 10 1/2 inches wide by 14 inches tall.
