Antique Screwdriver Double Ended Patent 1918

$55.00
Quantity available: 1

This is a rare double ended, pivot blade type screwdriver, with a patent date mark on the blade that reads "JULY 9, 1918" and part of the maker's name also lightly stamped, but we are not sure it is complete "J.H. DAHL" ?? not sure, the lettering is very light impression. It is all steel, and has notches or a sunken flat area the allow the user to lock it into position without concern over the blade moving once it is locked in place via the thumbscrew. It can be locked into position as a T-handle type screwdriver also, the 5" long handle allowing additional leverage to the user. The tips are 5/16" & 7/16" widths, and the blade is 8" long overall. The condition is good, with plenty of tiny dings and scratches, but overall in good useable condition with a good pivot bolt and thumbscrew. We have seen very few of these over the years, most have no marking on them at all, so this one give a much better clue as to the maker!
