Antique Saw Tooth Jointer for Hand Saw

Unavailable
This is a quality made 4" long, hand-saw tooth jointer, designed for filing all the tops of the handsaw teeth to the same level or height before re-sharpening the teeth. Basically this model is design to slip down over the top of the teeth side of the saw blade until the file inside the jointer touchs the teeth, then simply file the tops of the teeth until they are all the same height. The slot in this jointer guides the file path by gliding along the saw blade. We don't know who made this particular jointer, it is not marked, but we believe it to be a DUNLAP brand jointer, as we have seen this company brand name products with the name on it. This one has a useable file included. It's in very good shape, with plenty of use left in the double sided file that is in it, and that one can be removed and turned upside down to make use of the other unused side when needed. This one is made of a cast steel frame with a good used hardened steel file inserted, that is held in place by a slot and screw arraigement. No rust, no damage, very little sign of use. A handy antique saw sharpening tool!
