Wonderful aesthetic movement transfer-printed tile from Mintons China Works' "Willow Pattern", c. 1885. The tile is printed in a beautiful slate-blue on white clay body and depicts a seaside landscape with willow branches framing the scene all contained within an aesthetic design border. The tile is in good/very good condition with a line diagonally at about center where the white underglaze seems to have crawled somewhat during the firing; there is some crazing a few areas of very light wear at edges. It is a lovely image and the line doesn't read too particularly in person. Please write with any questions you may have.
