Antique "Kennebec" bicycle with wood wheels, made by the Mead Cycle Co. of Chicago, circa 1900. The bicycle has the original Troxel leather seat on springs, one leather handgrip, wood wheels, white wall rubber tires (deteriorated), and a built-in bike stand. It measures about 40.75 inches to the top of the handlebars, 34.5 inches to the top of the center bar, and is about 70.5 inches long. The bike is black, with traces of red. It has a metal tag on the front that identifies it as "MEAD CYCLE CO., KENNEBEC, CHICAGO, U.S.A." The bike appears intact (except for one handgrip) and in workable condition.
