American Chain Co Once To Often Ad 1916 This is a 1916 advertisement. It is a nice black and white ad from American Chain Company Inc of Bridgeport, Conn. Ad shows a man behind the wheel. He is driving in bad weather. A voice is saying to him, Take a chance. It reads, He did, once to often. Two pairs of tire chains were in the tool box, but he did not stop to put them on. an evil impulse tempted him to continue over the wet pavement with bare tires. He ventured on for a few blocks, then came the frightful skid. In mint condition. Photo is taken through plastic and may show wrinkles or crookedness that is not in the ad. This original magazine tear sheet measures 9 1/2 inches wide by 13 1/4 inches tall.
