Afghan Flintlock Blunderbuss Pistol

Unavailable
Hand made Afghan copy of an English East India Company flintlock pistol. The lock is functional and bears an East India Company Lion and the date 1819. At first glance it looks just like the original 19th C English locks found on the Afghan guns used at the Khyber Pass, but the workmanship is inferior to the original British locks. Unmarked octagonal to round 8" barrel with wide swelled muzzle. Cast brass trigger guard and butt cap. Lanyard ring with attached nickel silver bell. An attractive wall hanger. Overall length 14 ½".
