A.C.Gilbert Co Boy Discovered Candle Ad 1933 This is a December 1933 advertisement. This is a nice color ad from Mr A C Gilbert, The A C Gilbert Company of New Haven, Connecticut. Ad is for a Chemistry Outfit. It reads, The boy who discovered the 1150.00 candle. This boy mixed some chemicals with some wax and it lit into a blue flame. He wrote to chemical companies about it and one of them offered him 1150.00 in cash plus a contract guaranteeing him a 3 year position in their laboratories. In mint condition. Photo is taken through plastic and may show wrinkles or crookedness that is not in the ad. This original magazine tear sheet measures 8 inches wide by 11 1/2 inches tall.
