2003/973 Lehigh Valley Mantel in Original Paint c.1790-1810
Unavailable
A rare survival, this mantel retains original yellow paint and red decoration as found in the German-American community. The mantel retains the original plinths which are painted black, a regional custom. The mantel frieze is decorated with 3 applied tablets having compass work above a course of herringbone molding topped with a molded shelf. The mantel originally was mounted to a corner of the room and a small section of the top molding did not exist. NOTE: This mantle should be installed by your mechanic in accordance with all local fire and building codes. (#1491)
