1923 Banker's Book Bank ~ South Euclid S & L Co.

Unavailable
This little bank looks just like a miniature book: it has a yellow and green leather cover titled "The South Euclid Savings & Loan Co. South Euclid, Ohio" and gilded page ends. The back cover reads "The American Home The Safeguard of American Liberties" and the bottom reads "Bankers Utilities Co. San Francisco USA Patented July 3, 1923." A slot in the top is designed to accept coins and currency. The included key opens the book to reveal a spring hinged lid and a copper lined interior with a clever mechanism that prevents the contents from being shaken out. This is not a plastic replica but a quality made original piece of banking memorabilia. The lock and mechanism still work fine but the leather "book" cover is worn at the corners.
