18TH CENTURY CHINESE IMARI JUG

Circa 1770 Chinese Imari decorated cream or milk jug with a background that reminds me of choclate brown mocha ware. Very unusual combination that I have never seen before. The mug measures 5 1/4" in height. Their is a hairline just left of the handle which runs about 2". Also a few firing marks in the brown mochoa near the base. This is a combination with the chinese imari that I have never seen before. Fresh out of a home in the historic district of Charleston, South Carolina.
