Our client's powder flask (barutdan) of the Mughal Empire period, circa 17th-18th century, likely from Gujarat, is well crafted from a nautilus shell with mother-of-pearl applied in an arcaded design with rosette motif on the top with metal loop and later fabric pouch attached. Finial missing and wear consistent with age.
