Vintage Nouveau Mermaid necklace Sea Goddess and Water Lily HUGE links

From the depths of the sea comes this antique mermaid /merman ( female neptune?)that rides these fabulous 20's Lotus flowers that float on large antique links. This is a HUGE dramatic necklace so if you are shy then pass on by. The really thick neck chain is made of hundreds of snake chain links that actually are larger around the back of the neck so they form a ruff collar effect. The necklace is 24" around the neck with an additional 4 1/2" for the drop. These huge centerpieces are original nouveau links that measure almost 2" at their widest. The sea nymph with the mighty sword and shield dates prior to the 1900's. The neck chain is from the 20's. One of a kind and totally dramatic and intriguing, this is an example of how the mythical creatures of times gone by can still cause you to wonder....
