Sioux Indian War Club, ca. 1870-90

Unavailable
An archaic but deadly weapon when wielded by an attacking warrior on horseback, these war clubs were known to have been used at the Battle of the Little Big Horn when the Sioux wiped out Custer and his 7th Cavalry troopers. Hardwood handle with leather sinew-wrapped 5" x 3" stone head. This untouched original is quite rare and shows a nice age patina to the wood and leather. Likely a veteran of the Great Sioux War. Pictured in “Ornamental Indian Artifacts”, by Lar Hothem, page 390.
