Symmetrical forged steel head featuring broad 7" thrusting blade with pronounced medial ridge. Three side lugs on each side; the lower one the largest and curved downwards, while the central lug is straight and the upper lug curved upwards. Tapering octagonal ferrule; mounted on later round-section shaft, painted black. Metal is bright and smooth, with minor forging flaws; slight bend where head joins the ferrule. These partizans were carried by NCO’s in the armies of Europe and also used by the British and French in North America. Length of metal 13", overall 85".
