Zippo Lighter Fish Swallows Lighter Ad 1961 This is a July 14, 1961 advertisement It is a nice black and white ad from Zippo Manufacturing Company of Bradford, Pa. Ad shows a picture of a fish about to swallow a lit lighter and it reads, The amazing story of a Zippo that worked after being taken from the belly of a fish Mrs Harry Best, retired fish and game protector for the New York state conservation Dept. tells the story. A man caught an 18 lb Northern Pike in Three Mile Bay. When they dressed the Pike they found the lighter in the stomach of the fish. Lighter was in fine shape and lit the first time. In excellent condition. Photo is taken through plastic and may show wrinkles or crookedness that is not in the ad. This magazine tear sheet measures 10 wide by 13 3/4 tall.
