For Sale I have a Splendid Arts and Crafts Style Vase made by the Zanesville Stoneware Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. The Vase depicts a Large Leaf on the Front Side and a Smooth Back. The Matt Green Glaze is a real pleaser in the Arts and Crafts decorating scheme. The detailed Veining is some of the best I have ever seen on this Form. The Vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, chips, nicks or dings. The only issues is some pin point glaze pops around the vase and is common with most Zanesville pieces. The Vase is unsigned but has the mold number 102 impressed into the bottom of the Vase. Usually Zanesville has a clear beige sandy colored bottom but this one does not. The Green Glaze has obscured the mold number 102 and cannot be seen. I guarantee this to be an Original Zanesville 102 Leaf Vase in Matte Green. This is a wonderful form and would look just fine in any early Matte Green Art Pottery Collection. I'm sure it would look just fine on that Stickley Bookcase.
