Yellow Cocktail Dress & Sheath by Shannon Rodgers for Jerry Silverman

LOVELY calf-length cocktail dress made out of yellow tulle'(?) with a gold threaded pattern of leaves and lined with pale yellow satin. The sheath is round with a large opening for slipping over your head and is wrist length. There is no size tag but I believe it is probably a Size 10. The label indicates that it is by Shannon Rodgers for Jerry Silverman. Rodgers and Silverman were partners in Jerry Silverman, Inc., one of the fashion industry's most successful New York women's ready-to-wear firms of the second half of the 20th century. The Jerry Silverman line was sold at department stores and boutiques across the country. Many welll known women appeared in Jerry Silverman dresses, including first ladies Patricia Nixon, "Lady Bird" Johnson and Rosalyn Carter.
