World War II era Sheaffer fountain pen, # 875, with black and gold stripes, silver metal band and military clip, a Sheaffer's Lifetime nib, and the famous white dot which symbolizes quality. From an estate collection, this pen was made for armed services personnel; it has the shorter military clip designed for military uniforms. The pen measures a little more than 5 inches long and has a plunger-type filler. The barrel of the pen is inscribed with W.A. SHEAFFER PEN, FORT MADISON, IOWA, U.S.A., PATENTED IN USA, 875. The nib is a brass or gold color with a silver metal tip; it is inscribed SHEAFFER'S, LIFETIME, REG. U.S. PAT. OFF., MADE IN U.S.A. The pen appears to be in very good condition, intact and functional, with light to moderate surface wear. Please refer to the 4 photographs for appearance and condition.
