WW1 Trench ART Vase ARTILLERY Shell VERDUN

Trench art vase made from a 102 mm artillery shell.
Raised floral and armorial designs feature tall daisies on one side and a shield with the motto VERDUN on the other. Embossed background. Presumably made my a soldier who served at Verdun.
13 1/2 inches tall. @4 inches across top.
Very good condition. Nice patina as seen in photos.
Made 1916-1918, during or more likely after the battle of Verdun.
