This World War I era Rhymes of a Red Cross Man book was written by Robert W. Service, illustrated by Charles L. Wrenn and copyrighted and published by Barse & Hopkins in 1916. It is in good condition and all of the pages are intact with no holes, folds or creases. There is a name written in pencil on the first two blank interior pages and some blunting of the corners of the covers with some light wear and minor fraying at the corners and edges. There is a two inch long tear near the spine of the parchment paper covering the first full color illustration, some minor soiling and scuffing of the covers and some age tanning of the pages. This 192 page Rhymes of a Red Cross Man poetry book is sprinkled with full page color illustrations, black and white illustrations and is 8 3/8" long, 5 3/4" wide and 7/8" thick.
