Back in the early 1900's this lovely wool coverlet was hand loomed by the company that later became Pendleton Knits in Northern Indiana. It was especially made for a family in Southern Indiana. The jewel tone colors of green, red, touches of blue (so cleverly woven that you hardly see the blue), are predominant on one side while it reverses to a cream background with paisley designs being just outlined in red, blues, and greens. It is fringed on all sides, but some of the fringe is missing; there are a couple of minute dark spots on the right side, but all in all we would give it a 7 out of 10 for condition. It is 79 inches x 82 inches, plus the fringe that is still intact. This coverlet or throw would also make a fantastic wall hanging on a stairwaell wall, or thrown over a stair railing. It is a treasure not ofter found anymore.
