Well crafted Wooden Pine Tool Box with trays & ETC. It measures 17.5' x 12" x 9.5". Inside the lid has a diagram of what tools go where. Plus there is a band aide box and one actual small tool. There is some other thing there that is that is framed with screen material. I don't know what it is for. There are two removal trays. One th back of one of the trays is the name of the previous owner and the date of 1949. The initials on the front match the name.
The box is made of lacquered pine plywood. The hinges, latches are of galvanized metal. It is very heavy weighing approx. 15 pounds.
The condition is good but as found. I have not clean it up. Please keep in mind that it is a tool box and has been used a lot. I don't have any idea if this box was a tool box for a particular trade of it is was just a handyman's chest. Seems to me it must have been used in the course of employment because I don't know why else the name and initials would be stenciled on it.
