Wire Cutter Pliers Antique 3 Cutters Bernard's Type

$10.00
Quantity available: 1
This is a rather rare wire cutter pliers that are marked "PAT. PENDING" and have a similar design to the later Bernard patented wire cutters made by either Schollhorn, or Sargent, except this cutter has 3 (instead of two on the later Berhard's cutter) cutting stations, otherwise the same design with one center pivot, and two more pivot pins about 5/8" from the center pin, located on the handle area. This design gives additional leverage, so the pliers can be shorter on the handle, as in this case, the length is only 4.5" long overall. The two side cutters jaws are both in working order, but the center cutter has a small chip on each jaw, right on the edge. It can be shapened, (there is enough stock) if you wish. The jaws all line up good, all the pivots are snug, some minor staining, or in a few spots light pitting. A nice design cutter, I use one on small solid copper wire, works great!
