I feel sad to be putting one of my favorite baskets up for sale. I have an extensive Native American collection and African collection, but I can no longer take care of these beautiful things. This basket has been hanging in my studio since I bought it at an estate sale in Oklahoma years ago. The maker's tag is still on the basket. It is an apache Burden Basket made of willow, buckskin and tin. The tin pieces make a beautiful sound when moving. If interested I can take other photos. The basket maker probably used tin cans. You can see a little bit of red on the inside of one of the tin cones.
