Riddell, lower middle right, William Hutton Riddell (1880 - 1947), colorful realism depiction of a native Indians "Hunting The Woolly Mammoth" on the American plains, featuring a small group of 8 semi-nude males all in their prime trying to bring down the imposing mammoth with sheer courage, determination and primitive spears. Professionally double matted, housed in fine parcel gilt and burled walnut frame. The verso still bears a red Heritage Galleries Auction auction sticker. This outstanding work of exemplary size and subject matter would make an impressive conversation piece addition to any fine household or collection.
