For Sale is a Vintage Wallet made by the Whiting & Davis Company of Plainville, Massachusetts. It is made in the ever popular gold tone mesh and is a very nice example of their work. The wallet measures 3 3/4" tall and 4 1/2" wide when it is closed.

The wallet has a metal mesh armor exterior and a black satin liner.The wallet is very functional as there is a good size compartment for change with a kiss clasp in full working order. There is a snap enclosure on each side of the change compartment. One side has a pocket for bills and the other side has two pockets for credit cards and ID's. There is also a hidden pocket behind the change compartment for additional space. The snapping mechanisms on both sides work perfectly.

The wallet is considered to be in Excellent Condition as there are no tears in the lining and no unpleasant odor. The metal armor mesh is all in fine condition and the frame is undamaged as well.

The wallet has a white satin label sewn into one of the credit card slots that reads "MESH WHITING & DAVIS BAGS TRADEMARK REG. MADE IN U.S.A.". There is also a signature on the frame of the change compartment that has a triangle of sorts previous to "MADE IN BELGIUM". The Whiting and Davis Signature in this fashion dates the wallet to be Circa late 1940s-50s.
