White porcelain spill vase hand decorated with gold gilt - mostly worn off. Depicts a young boy holding his hat leaning on a small vase with a bird head. Spill vases were found on mantels to hold small sticks which could be lit from the fire to light candles and lanterns. Good condition with no chips or cracks - there are a couple of flaws in the porcelain - not the finest quality I've ever seen - but a great keepsake.
