The White House Gardens & Grounds Program 2006
Unavailable
Throughout the history of the White House, presidents have planted trees throughout the 18 acres that have remained special down through the ages. From Andrew Jackson to Barack Obama, each president has kept this tradition alive. Each spring, the White House hosts "Gardens & Grounds", a chance for the public to stroll the South Lawn and experience history as it grows. A special limited program helps explain where each tree is located and its special relationship with the The White House, including the Rose Garden, the children's garden, and other special places usually presided over by the First Lady.
