One from the series of twelve issued by Wedgwood, c. 1882, the design variously ascribed to Thomas Allen, but probably Helen J.A. Miles, illustrating characters from Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream." A wonderful series to collect. This tile depicts "Titania" and is printed in blue on white clay and is in good condition with wear to edges and to the glossy finish; bottom edge nibbles shallow flake to left edge just up from the bottom.
