From the Wedgwood collection of a retired RAF officer is offered this wonderful Wedgwood Black Basalt Lands of the Realm pitcher, ca. 1835-1840. The body of the piece exhibits the emblems of the nations of Great Britain in bas-relief scrolling surrounding a clover, thistle, rose and Gaelic harp representing Wales, Scotland, England and Ireland. Ample gadrooning, scrolling and acanthus complete the classical design. The pitcher stands 4 1/2 inches tall at the spout. It is incised Wedgwood on the underside. Shipping quoted upon sale.
