Measuring 11.75 by 8 by 4.5 inches, this Victorian-era walnut lap desk is in excellent, recently refinished, condition. The felt on the interior writing surface has been replaced.

The lock is inoperative -- at least I couldn’t find a key in my 2-quart jar of old keys. All in all, this is a very attractive and sound desk.
