This American Walnut Gentleman's Chest, circa 1920, is quite stunning. Constructed out of walnut, with burled walnut panels on the drawer fronts, the chest has two decks aka hankie boxes, a gorgeous decorative backsplash with applied carvings, applied carvings on the top drawers, brass hardware. a curved apron with applied carving, incised sides, and elegant turned legs that support the chest with much style. Its two over three drawer construction can accommodate lots of storage, so it is the perfect piece for one's bedroom. The Walnut Gentleman's Chest measures, 48.75 inches X 36.00 inches W X 20.00 inches D, and is in the original finish with appropriate wear for its age.
