This match box has two parts for matches with strikes on opposite sides of the box, approximately 3 inches square, This is a souvenier from Finland.
The city is known for its schools and academies where many famous Finns have studied. Schools, government and the military have characterized H�meenlinna's life all through history.
Finland's first railway line opened between H�meenlinna and Helsinki in 1862. The current H�meenlinna railway station (Rautatieasema in Finnish) was built in 1921.
