Walking cane with solid ivory handle and silver collar. The collar is engraved "from Christchurch Choir, Bella Vista, 1911". (This is Christchurch, England, not New Zealand). The original presentee's name has been burnished off. Silver has a stain on one side (possibly silver plate). Walking stick is 88 cm long (34.3/4 inches). The ivory has the usual split lines, and has a chip off underneath one side of the handle, but is very solid. Shaft is a nice dark wood, with signs of it once having had an ebonized finish. Good solid stick.
