Ivory figurine of a boy playing the bagpipe. 7.3 centimeter [2.9 inches] high. Probably from Germany, and we think that because they used to do a lot of ivory-carving but we can be wrong of course. 19th century or older. The ivory looks a bit brown on the picture, but in fact it is more white. On his right hand [on the picture left] his vinger under looks like it is in half. That can also have happened when the guy was carving the ivory. You can hardly see it, but we have to mention it. The ivory has a small crack, but you can also hardly see that. For the rest it is very nicely done. ivo
