In 1913 he began to study art, first at the Stroganov Art School, then at school Rerberg, and after the studio Mashkov. In 1917 he graduated from the Moscow real school and entered the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture.During the revolution, Vladimir Roskin worked in the Moscow Soviet, in the department of education. There he met Vladimir Mayakovsky. Roskin was doing posters for the "Window GROWTH" along with a team of artists assembled by Mayakovsky.In 1930-40 years he to painting, he participated in exhibitions,worked as an illustrator at several publishing houses. His friends futurist Roman Jakobson and El Lissitzky, Roskin designed the international exhibition of printing in Cologne / 1928 /For years, he oversaw the Soviet pavilions of international exhibitions - in Berlin and London, Leipzig and New York, Brussels and Prague.
