Volkstedt Porcelain Classical Urn Vase 1910s-30s
Description: Classical Urn Vase, Made 1910s-30s by the Oldest Volkstedt Porcelain Factory in Thuringia. The body is white with raised gilt-blue floral ornament on the rim and blue and white lobing on the bottom. The body is mounted to a gilt-blue circular pedestal foot on square base. On the base underside is the blue under glaze Volkstedt mark that was in use from ca. 1915 to ca. 1936. (Cit.: Marks 4 Ceramics, www.marks4ceramics.com) Dimensions: 7-1/4" High, 4-1/2" Diameter. Weight: 1 lb. Condition: The stem needs to be re-screwed to the body (it wobbles a little) and a good cleaning would help. No chips or cracks, though.
