Here is an extremely nice AE-40 (Automatic Electric Co) dial phone, that has been completely re-wired, and will make and recieve telephone calls, just by connecting it to a modular jack - even the wire and jack are included. This one has been tested and works just fine. Phone dates to the late 1940's with a bakelite body, porcelain dial and rare chrome dial cover. The dial spins and returns just as it should. The chrome cover is in excellent condition, as is the rubber bottom gasket - something you seldom see on a phone of this vintage.. Coiled handset cord is excellent and probably original.
What a great accent piece in any room - sorry it doesnt send text messages - but this one is about as clean as you can find AND IT WORKS!! .
