Vintage Wilton Armetale alphabet mug, circa 1970's. Wilton Armetale has been making hand-cast and hand-finished pieces in Lancaster County, PA since 1892. Armetale is an aluminum alloy which, in the matte finish, resembles pewter. The mug, which measures approximately 3.5 inches high and 3.5 inches in diameter at the base, has the RPW maker's mark, the artist's mark, and USA on the back side. The RPW maker's mark represents the initials of the company's founder Ralph P. Wilton. The mug is in very good condition, with light surface wear.
