Vintage Wide Persian Bracelet - Antique portrait miniatures - storytelling panels - set in silver and mother of pearl

Unavailable

This is a gorgeous folk art Persian sterling silver filigree bracelet with miniature paintings on the most beautiful lusterous mother of pearl.  Hand Painted on large panels, each of the 7 panels are unique with depictions of people having conversations with each other all the way to one that is playing a musical instrument. The mother of pearl painted cabochons are bezel set in very fine delicate filigree links. These pieces are often called story book panels because each panel is part of a story. Figural painting like this, although an ancient Persian art form has been prohibited since the Islamic revolution and jewelry like this is no longer produced today. This has a slide pin type closure and measures 7 1/2" inches long and 1 inch wide. Not sure of silver content.
