Vintage Wedgwood cherub necklace brooch made in England cupid jasperware angel

$85.00
Quantity available: 1

This brooch which also doubles as a necklace has cupid holding his bow and is carved out of  porcelain, vitrified earthenware. Josiah Wedgwood worked in pottery, and his work was of very high quality. If he saw in his workshop an offending vessel that failed to meet with his standards, he would smash it with his stick, exclaiming, "This will not do for Josiah Wedgwood! This brooch has an 18kt gold filled rope bezel, pin back and hinged hanger for the attached necklace that measures 22" long. THe cherub pendant measures 1 1/3" long. This has not been cleaned and is in its original state as found. To clean jasperware, just use a toothbrush, some dishwashing detergent and rinse well. I don't clean these pieces because some new owners prefer the original patina and age.     VintageSparkles offers Layaway on all our Etsy pieces regardless of which site it comes from. All layaway payments will need to be in the form of a check or money order only.  Please remember that vintage & antique items are not mint, nor are they perfect but they sure are full of old history and charm.
