The T-shaped bar at the end of this fob is made to be put through a button hole of a jacket or a waistcoat, such as train conductors wore. The opposite end from the T-bar is usually a swivel attachment that attaches to the watch itself, and some also had a drop chain close to the end of the T-bar end, sometimes holding a pendant identifying a club the gentleman belonged to. This style also often had at least one spring ring clasp somewhere in the design to offer more alternatives for the wearer. This watch chain fob is in wonderful shape for a piece its age and will be a nice acquisition for the collector.
