Vintage victorian baby Christening GOWN OLD

I have the little lace cap that came with this on go antiques as well. This 1900's dress is in such good shape and is completely hand sewn even down to the lace.. It even had the rice paper inside from where it was stored so many years ago. I think it is a cotton gauze and it is perfectly pressed and has the tiniest buttons on the back. This also has delicate pleated work on the front with hand embroidery. Hardly shows in the photo but it is really well made. You can’t tell it was not machine stitched until you take a magnifying glass to it. I can’t even imagine the hours it took to hand sew this. This measures 14 ½" from the top of the shoulder to the wide hem. From shoulder to shoulder it is 8 ½". Each sleeve measures 3 ¼" long. The lace is also hand sewn and hand made. IT is quite an impressive piece of Victorian clothing. I don’t see any damage, wear or spots. It looks like it has never been worn. The IT is REALLY adorable.Since this is an Irreplaceable work of art there can be no returns on this sale.
