Vintage Town & Country or Pennsylvania Dutch 6 Piece Casserole Set. The Town and Country contains quite a few different variations in color and pattern, this pattern is also know as Pennsylvania Dutch Hex and Brown Orange Stars and was produced in the 1950's. The basic pattern is a take off on the Pennsylvania Dutch hex motifs, with alternating eight-point stars in circles composed of Xs and/or smaller brown eight-point stars. This set includes a brown star pattern on white casserole that holds 1 quart and is 6 1/4" across by 3 1/4" deep, a brown star pattern on yellow casserole that is 1 1/2 pint and is 6 1/4" by 2 3/4" deep and a brown star pattern on orange, 1 pint that is 6 1/4" by 2" deep. All six pieces are in excellent condition, no chips, pattern crisp and bright, except that the yellow one has some light marks on the outside of the casserole.
