Vintage Swiss Hamilton Desk Clock / Weather Station
Vintage Swiss-made Hamilton transistorized desk clock / weather station, with the clock, a thermometer, barometer, and hygrometer providing 4 sides of a revolving cube, from 1975. The outer body and base of this piece appear to be brushed brass or another brass-toned metal that does not attract a magnet. The clock and all instruments are marked "Swiss". The cube measures about 5 inches high; the base measures about 3.25 inches square. The piece is quite heavy, weighing a little over 2.5 pounds. The clock features brass hands and numerals on a brushed or spun silver metal face, a second hand, the day of the month, and a beveled glass crystal; it runs on one AA battery (not included). The instruments have black letters and graphics on a brushed or spun silver metal face, with what appear to be plexiglas crystals. The bottom of the base is engraved with "662629". On the top is a presentation plate: "PRESENTED 1-1-75 TO LEWIS BAUSHKE IN RECOGNITION OF 32 YEARS SERVICE S.D. WARREN-SCOTT PAPER COMPANY". The metal exterior of this piece is in good condition, solid and undamaged, with a fair amount of surface wear; the cube revolves easily. The glass and plexiglas crystals appear to be in very good condition. The clock functions well and the instruments appear to function well also. Please refer to the 4 photographs for appearance and condition. Shipping / packaging will be $12.00.
